Sin embargo agunos problemas fundamentales han persistido. Los recientes experimentos en aceleradores de part\u00edculas y, sobre todo, la inminente inauguraci\u00f3n del acelerador lhc en el cern, van a contribuir a una nueva explosi\u00f3n de descubrimientos fundamentales empujando la frontera del conocimiento a distancias tan peque\u00f1as como una millon\u00e9sima de millon\u00e9sima de millon\u00e9sima de cent\u00edmetro. Las investigaciones de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas indican que a estas distancias nuevos efectos fundamentales se van a manifestar, ayudando a resolver los importantes problemas te\u00f3ricos que se llevan arrastrando durante m\u00e1s de trenta a\u00f1os. esta tesis est\u00e1 centrada en aspectos observables de desintegraciones de mesones b, y en las diversas maneras en que la nueva f\u00edsica a peque\u00f1as distancias puede inferirse a partir de la fenomenolog\u00eda de dichas desintegraciones. Los resultados de la tesis incluyen predicciones te\u00f3ricas de cantidades que ser\u00e1n medidas en el futuro pr\u00f3ximo en aceleradores de part\u00edculas, as\u00ed como diversos metodos para controlar los errores te\u00f3ricos que se derivan del car\u00e1cter no perturbativo de las interacciones fuertes a las escalas mes\u00f3nicas de energ\u00eda. La tesis tambi\u00e9n incluye un an\u00e1lisis de desintegraciones de mesones b en supersimetr\u00eda y un enfoque al estudio de la nueva f\u00edsica de manera general, sin referencia a un modelo. Estos resultados ser\u00e1n de gran inter\u00e9s en un plazo de dos a cinco a\u00f1os cuando grandes cantidades de informaci\u00f3n experimental empiecen a ser
