Est\u00e1 basado en la resoluci\u00f3n del balance de masa y energ\u00eda.  la aplicaci\u00f3n de este modelo en la cuenca del r\u00edo guadalfeo, en la vertiente sur de sierra nevada (espa\u00f1a), ha mostrado la importancia de la evaporaci\u00f3n desde la nieve en un clima de alta monta\u00f1a en un entorno mediterr\u00e1neo seco, de baja latitud y muy cercano al mar. El modelo distribuido calcula en celdas de 30&#215;30 metros en una extensi\u00f3n de 1300 km\u00c2\u00b2. ha sido necesario abordar la interpolaci\u00f3n de las variables meteorol\u00f3gicas precipitaci\u00f3n, temperatura, radiaci\u00f3n solar, humedad relativa, velocidad del viento y emisividad de la atm\u00f3sfera. Respecto a esta \u00faltima variable, las medidas de radiaci\u00f3n de onda larga incidente efectuadas con una nueva estaci\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica situada a 2500 metros de altitud han permitido deducir una nueva expresi\u00f3n para su c\u00e1lculo (emisividad de la atm\u00f3sfera) que mejora las predicciones frente a las obtenidas con brutsaert (1982) en condiciones de nubosidad, y que se considera adecuada para regiones de alta monta\u00f1a. la calibraci\u00f3n y validaci\u00f3n del modelo se ha realizado a trav\u00e9s de una serie de medidas puntuales del equivalente de agua en un punto de control y del an\u00e1lisis de la superficie cubierta de nieve calculada con im\u00e1genes sat\u00e9lite landsat tm. Se incluye una extensa recopilaci\u00f3n de trabajos de auscultaci\u00f3n en campo realizados en la vertiente sur de sierra nevada durante los a\u00f1os 2004-2007. el modelo est\u00e1 programado en
