Tales materiales presentar\u00e1n propiedades muy interesantes, por ejemplo, la quiralidad nuclear les conferir\u00e1propiedades tales como actividad \u00f3ptica natural, anisotrop\u00eda magneto-quiral, etc. Y la quiralidad magn\u00e9tica conferir\u00e1 a los efectos dedependencia con el campo magn\u00e9tico una mayor intensidad, de manera que el efecto magneto-quiral se ver\u00e1 amplificado, ,y de estemodo ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de observar, ya que hasta ahora s\u00f3lo ha sido observado por rikken.Debido a la confusi\u00f3n existente entre los conceptos de quiralidad nuclear y magn\u00e9tica, asi como de las propiedades derivadas de unou otro efecto, en el cap\u00edtulo 1 se definen con detalle los conceptos de quiralidad nuclear y quiralidad magn\u00e9tica, las propiedades queprovienen de estas quiralidades, asi como otros conceptos necesarios para la comprensi\u00f3n de este trabajo cient\u00edfico, como porejemplo el an\u00e1lisis de representaciones irreducibles, etc. Diremos que un compuesto presenta quiralidad nuclear cuando s\u00f3lo presenteoperaciones de simetr\u00eda propias, es decir, de determinante 1, mientras que un compuesto presentar\u00e1 quiralidad magn\u00e9tica cuando elproducto vectorial del vector de interacci\u00f3n magn\u00e9tica y su complejo conjugado sea distinto de cero.Para construir este tipo de materiales se han ideado distintas estrategias, la m\u00e1s sencilla consiste en utilizar un esqueleto quiral, comouna espiral, utilizando iones magn\u00e9ticos altamente anisotr\u00f3picos, por ejemplo co(ii) , tierras raras, etc. Este esqueleto permitir\u00edainteracciones magn\u00e9ticas como la interacci\u00f3n de dzyaloshinskii-moriya (dm). Otra posibilidad consistir\u00eda en utilizarsistemas nucleares quirales en los que la interacci\u00f3n de dm fuese a lo largo de un eje cristalogr\u00e1fico. De ambas formas podr\u00edamosobtener materiales quirales nucleares y magn\u00e9ticos al mismo tiempo.
