La somatostatina (ss) ha mostrado propiedades \u00abcitoprotectoras\u00bb sobre la mucosa gastrica, y por otro lado, la pentoxifilina (ptxf) ha logrado reducir el da\u00f1o tisular en diversos modelos experimentales de sepsis. El objeto de este estudio fue investigar la sintesis de pc por la mucosa gastrica en un modelo de sepsis inducido por lipopolisacarido (lps) en ratas, asi como las modificaciones inducidas por la administracion posterior de ss o ptxf.
