Los macr\u00f3fagos captan estas ldlox a trav\u00e9s de receptores scavenger (rs) y se transformanen c\u00e9lulas espumosas dando lugar a la formaci\u00f3n de la estr\u00eda grasa. En este trabajo se demuestra que existe una amplia variabilidadentre individuos en la expresi\u00f3n de rs, pudi\u00e9ndose identificar sujetos hiper- e hipo-respondedores en funci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de susrs. Adem\u00e1s, los sujetos hiper-respondedores para cd36 y lox-1 sobreexpresan mol\u00e9culas inflamatorias como il-lbeta, mientrasque los sujetos hiper-respondedores para sr-a sobreexpresan mol\u00e9culas antiinflamatorias como ppargamma y el inhibidor de nf?Kappab. Estos resultados se confirmaron a nivel de prote\u00edna, demostrando un diferente patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n entre cd36 y sr-a. Porlo tanto, la variabilidad en el estado inflamatorio podr\u00eda estar asociado con la respuesta individual del macr\u00f3fago frente a ldlox yesta variabilidad podr\u00eda relacionarse con la diferente expresi\u00f3n de rs en respuesta a ldlox, desencadenando una respuesta m\u00e1sproinflamatoria cuando se expresan cd36 y lox-1 que cuando se expresa sr-a.La hipercolesterolemia familiar (hf) es una enfermedad con gran variabilidad tanto en el fenotipo lip\u00eddico, riesgo de cardiopat\u00edaisqu\u00e9mica y presencia de xantomas tendinosos (xt). La acumulaci\u00f3n en los tendones de grandes cantidades de macr\u00f3fagos cargadosde l\u00edpidos, especialmente de ldlox, es el origen de los xt en sujetos hf. La presencia de xantomas se relaciona con mayor riesgode enfermedad coronaria en estos sujetos; sin embargo, se desconoce porqu\u00e9 algunos sujetos hf desarrollan xt y otros no lo hacen.En este trabajo se compar\u00f3 la expresi\u00f3n de genes inflamatorios de macr\u00f3fagos de sujetos hf con xt (n=9) y sin xt (n=10)incubados con ldlox mediante rt-pcr en tiempo real.
