Las enzimas de las tres rutas perif\u00e9ricas de asimilaci\u00f3n de glucosa son inducibles por \u00e9ste az\u00facar, tal y como revelan los an\u00e1lisis de microarray a nivel transcript\u00f3mica global, as\u00ed como la determinaci\u00f3n de las correspondientes actividades enzim\u00e1ticas. Se ha demostrado con an\u00e1lisis de flujo que cuando la glucosa es la \u00fanica fuente de carbono, el malato del ciclo de krebs se canaliza a trav\u00e9s de piruvato a oxalacetato.  en este trabajo, se han identificado cuatro reguladores transcripcionales implicados en al metabolismo de la glucosa: el activador transcripcional gltr2 que controla la expresi\u00f3n del gen de una de las porinas (oprb-1) de entrada de glucosa al periplasma y la expresi\u00f3n del sistema de transporte de la glucosa al citoplasma, denominado gtsabcd. El regulador hexr que controla los genes de la v\u00eda fosforilativa glk\/zwf-1 y de la ruta de entner-doudoroff edd\/eda que se encuentran formando dos operones (glk\/edd y zwf\/plg\/eda), as\u00ed como la expresi\u00f3n del gen gap-1 que codifica la gliceraldeh\u00eddo-3-fosfato deshidrogenasa. El represor ptxs implicado en el metabolismo del 2-cetogluconato, que controla la expresi\u00f3n de los genes que codifican las enzimas responsables de la oxidaci\u00f3n del gluconato a 2-cetogluconato, su transporte y metabolismo hasta 6-fosfogluconato. Este regulador tambi\u00e9n controla un conjunto de genes no relacionados con el metabolismo de la glucosa. El represor gnur implicado en el metabolismo del gluconato, que responde espec\u00edficamente a \u00e9ste y controla su transporte y fosforilaci\u00f3n.
