Para conocer el mecanismo de reacci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio con sondas de radicales y reacciones con fluoruros marcados isot\u00f3picamente y diastereom\u00e9ricamente puros. en el capitulo ii  se estudia la reactividad de haps\u00c2\u00bf 2 con alquenos terminales no activados como propeno, sobuteno, metilenciclopentano y 1- octeto. Tras la reacci\u00f3n con el alqueno correspondiente se captur\u00f3 el intermedio organol\u00edtico generado con distintos elect\u00f3filos obteniendo dihidroarenos doblemente funcionarizados. en el capitulo iii se llev\u00f3 a cabo la s\u00edntesis del litio naftaleno y dilitio naftaleno a partir de naftaleno, litio en polvo y tmeda en benceno, en forma de pares i\u00f3nicos separados por el
