Los microarrays permiten identificar genes diferencialmente expresados, establecer patrones de regulaci\u00f3n g\u00e9nica y descubrir nuevos marcadores tumorales con aplicaci\u00f3n en la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica y la terap\u00e9utica del c\u00e1ncer. Los microarrays pueden ser utilizados como complemento a los m\u00e9todos diagn\u00f3sticos convencionales.%&#038;\/A pesar del actual conocimiento sobre la patogenia molecular de meningiomas y schwannomas, que comparten como caracter\u00edstica molecular principal la alteraci\u00f3n del gen nf2, la falta de datos sobre la historia natural de meningiomas y schwannomas no tratados, el reducido n\u00famero de pacientes que requieren terapia adicional al tratamiento quir\u00fargico, as\u00ed como la falta de l\u00edneas celulares y modelos animales fiables y robustos, han limitado hasta ahora el estudio molecular de estas neoplasias.%&#038;\/En este trabajo se utiliza la metodolog\u00eda de microarrays de adnc para establecer los perfiles de expresi\u00f3n de 96 genes relacionados con c\u00e1ncer en muestras tumorales obtenidas a partir de la extirpaci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica de 42 meningiomas y 23 schwannomas. El estudio se complementa con el an\u00e1lisis mutacional del gen nf2 (por medio de las t\u00e9cnicas de pcr, sscp, dhplc, secuenciaci\u00f3n y mlpa), la b\u00fasqueda de p\u00e9rdida de heterocigosidad (loh) del brazo largo del cromosoma 22 (por medio de marcadores microsatelitales) y el an\u00e1lisis de silenciamiento g\u00e9nico por hipermetilaci\u00f3n aberrante de promotores g\u00e9nicos (por medio de la t\u00e9cnica de ms-mlpa).%&#038;\/Esta metodolog\u00eda permiti\u00f3 establecer el perfil de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica de meningiomas y schwannomas, estableciendo relaci\u00f3n con las alteraciones moleculares del gen nf2, la p\u00e9rdida de heterocigosidad del brazo largo del cromosoma 22 y el grado tumoral. Tambi\u00e9n permiti\u00f3 identificar marcadores moleculares con potencial diagn\u00f3stico, pron\u00f3stico y terap\u00e9utico.%&#038;\/Este trabajo ofrece una aproximaci\u00f3n metodol\u00f3gica que permite conocer a gran escala los perfiles de expresi\u00f3n de meningiomas y schwannomas y establece genes diferencialmente expresados entre estos dos tipos tumorales y los controles de meninge normal. Aporta tambi\u00e9n un clasificador molecular para meningiomas con posibles repercusiones en evoluci\u00f3n y vigilancia post-operatoria. Los datos de expresi\u00f3n obtenidos en este trabajo podr\u00edan tambi\u00e9n ser utilizados en la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos agentes terap\u00e9uticos para el tratamiento de estos dos tipos
