La fluencia neutr\u00f3nnica recibida por el acero constitutivo de la vasija provoca una degradaci\u00f3n de sus propiedades mec\u00e1nicas que conduce a su fragilizaci\u00f3n. Tradionalmente, la evoluci\u00f3n del comportamiento en fractura del material se ha evaluado ensayando a lo largo de la vida del reactor, probetas de impacto charpi alojadas en el interior de la vasija con la puesta en funcionamiento de la planata y extra\u00eddas peri\u00f3dicamente. en este trabajo se ha caracterizado el acero, virgen e irradiado, de la vasija de una central nuclear espa\u00f1ola actualmente en servicio, en la regi\u00f3n de temperaturas conocida como zona de transici\u00f3n d\u00factil-fr\u00e1gil. Para ello, se han empleado probetas propias de la mec\u00e1nica de fractura, reconstruidas a partir de las mitades de probetas de impacto previamente ensayadas, optimizando de esta forma el aprovechamiento del material. Para describir la tenacidad a fractura en la zona de transici\u00f3n se ha empleado el modelo de la curva patr\u00f3n, de reciente desarrollo. Finalmente, se ha cuantificado el impacto del procedimiento de caracterizaci\u00f3n y del modelo de la curva patr\u00f3n sobre la integridad estructural de la vasija, comparando sus predicciones con las que se obtienen de aplicar los procedimientos convencionales que contempla la normativa vigente, representada por el c\u00f3digo asme. En esta comparaci\u00f3n se ha hecho uso del procedimiento fitnet de integridad estructural, publicado en fechas recientes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
