Los copol\u00edmeros se han caracterizado y se han determinado las razones de reactividad que han permitido concluir que los copol\u00edmeros presentan grandes bloques de unidades acenaftileno separadas por algunas unidades de n-vinilcarbazol en el caso de los copol\u00edmeros acn-nvc y una distribuci\u00f3n aleatoria de ambos mon\u00f3meros en el caso de los copol\u00edmeros de acenaftileno con los mon\u00f3meros metacr\u00edlicos.  se ha realizado un estudio t\u00e9rmico de los copol\u00edmeros determin\u00e1ndose su temperatura de transici\u00f3n v\u00edtrea y analizando su dependencia con la composici\u00f3n en base a diferentes modelos. Por otra parte, se ha llevado a cabo el proceso de degradaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica encontr\u00e1ndose que, en atm\u00f3sfera de nitr\u00f3geno, tiene lugar mediante reacciones de ruptura de cadena y despolimerizaci\u00f3n, fundamentalmente, mientras que en atm\u00f3sfera de aire tienen lugar fen\u00f3menos de despolimerizaci\u00f3n termooxidaci\u00f3n.  asimismo, se ha determinado la dependencia de la temperatura de transici\u00f3n v\u00edtrea con el peso molecular para el poli (acenaftileno) y se ha estudiado el mecanismo de degradaci\u00f3n de derivados clorados, bromados, nitrados y
