En este trabajo de tesis, aplicamos la metodolog\u00eda de metat\u00e9sis de dieninos (rcdeym) a la formaci\u00f3n de diferentes sistemas policiclicos, centr\u00e1ndonos fundamentalmente en sistemas que contiene ciclooctanos, debido a que este tipo de sistemas son los m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de construir y forman el n\u00facleo estructural clave de productos naturales tan relevantes como el taxol. De esta forma, profundizamos en el estudio y funcionalizaci\u00f3n de un nuevo tipo de compuestos h\u00edbridos, los taxoesteroides, cuya estructura combina elementos de taxanos y esteroides y que debido a sus caracter\u00edsticas podr\u00edan poseer propiedades farmacol\u00f3gicas de gran inter\u00e9s. Por otra parte, llevamos a cabo la s\u00edntesis de an\u00e1logos esteroidales con el esqueleto expandido, accediendo a sus complejos esqueletos polic\u00edclicos de un modo sumamente eficaz mediante una metodolog\u00eda que hace uso de la combinaci\u00f3n de una reacci\u00f3n de rcdeym y de una cicloadici\u00f3n [4+2], y que pensamos que podr\u00eda extenderse a la construcci\u00f3n de otros sistemas policiclos partiendo de los sustratos adecuados. Por ultimo, desarrollamos una estrategia que nos permite acceder con un numero muy reducido de etapas a nuevos taxoides, cuya estructura podr\u00eda conferirles propiedades biol\u00f3gicas relevantes. Es importante se\u00f1alar que se trata adem\u00e1s de una ruta vers\u00e1til que nos permite la preparaci\u00f3n de an\u00e1logos con modificaciones en distintas posiciones mediante la
