Este modelo, basado en vol\u00famenes ligados, se ha centrado principalmente en la velocidad por encima de la precisi\u00f3n, aunque no se ha dejado de lado el comportamiento realista basado en par\u00e1metros f\u00edsicos reales. parsys ha intentado unir las ventajas de cada uno de los modelos deformables existentes, presentando las siguientes caracter\u00edsticas principales:   es un modelo r\u00e1pido de calcular. Casi tan r\u00e1pido como los modelos deformables heur\u00edsticos m\u00e1s simples basados en el punto muelle.   permite la realizaci\u00f3n de cambios topol\u00f3gicos de forma sencilla.   los par\u00e1metros que gobiernan la deformaci\u00f3n pueden estar basados en par\u00e1metros f\u00edsicos reales, en concreto en el m\u00f3dulo de young, al igual que los modelos basados en mec\u00e1nica continua.   posee un comportamiento volum\u00e9trico, lo que permite un mayor realismo visual ante las deformaciones producidas.   puede obtener el sistema de part\u00edculas encargado de la deformaci\u00f3n sin necesidad de conocer la estructura interna de los objetos. estas caracter\u00edsticas invitan a pensar que parsys es un modelo ideal para su uso en entornos virtuales interactivos
