Primero, analizamos un conjunto de neuronas estoc\u00e1sticas tipo integraci\u00f3n-y-disparo con integraci\u00f3n sin p\u00e9rdidas, un peque\u00f1o periodo refractario, y con acoplamiento global y retardado. Se observa una transici\u00f3n de fase acompa\u00f1ada por una hist\u00e9resis alrededor de un acoplamiento cr\u00edtico. Para acoplamiento subcr\u00edtico el conjunto es gobernado por la din\u00e1mica estoc\u00e1stica, mientras que para acoplamiento supracr\u00edtico las unidades se organizan en varios subgrupos con actividad auto-sostenida. Un an\u00e1lisis te\u00f3rico permite caracterizar la transici\u00f3n de fase anal\u00edticamente. La segunda parte se centra en la comunicaci\u00f3n humana. Examinamos la comunicaci\u00f3n entre comunidades de usuarios en slashdot, un popular sitio web. Se encuentran patrones regulares en el tiempo de reacci\u00f3n a una nueva noticia tanto para la comunidad como para usuarios individuales.
