Muchos de los sistemas y ciclos de refrigeraci\u00f3n usados hasta ahora han hecho servir, y lo contin\u00faan haciendo, fluidos refrigerantes potencialmente peligrosos y perjudiciales y que han sido incluidos dentro de un listado de componentes que has de ser retirados desu uso. Ejemplo de esto lo tenemos en el caso del hfc-134a que posee un alto \u00edndice de impacto reductor delespesor de la capa de ozono. Fluidos como este deber\u00e1n ser retirados del mercado apartir del 2008 y deber\u00e1n ser sustituidos por fluidos o mezclas m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gicas y menos influyente en el efecto de calentamiento global. Esto obliga a realizar muchos esfuerzos de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo, sobre los nuevos sistemas de refrigeraci\u00f3n. Para el estudio y dise\u00f1o de estos sistemas es importante contar con herramientas num\u00e9ricas precisas y fiables. Esto solo se puedeconseguir si los modelos desarrollados son sometidos a extensas validaciones experimentales. esta tesis contribuye con un conjunto de t\u00e9cnicas experimentales aplicables a los ciclos de refrigeraci\u00f3n porcompresi\u00f3n de vapor. Dentro de los hitos conseguidos se mencionan: la validaci\u00f3n experimental del comportamientot\u00e9rmico y fluido-din\u00e1mico de los compresores alternativos, enfatizando en la obtenci\u00f3n de los diagramas de presi\u00f3n-volumen sin correcci\u00f3n de los niveles de presi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n contribuye en el desarrollo de algoritmos de tratamientode la se\u00f1al con tal de mejorar las series temporales de las presiones facilitando as\u00ed la obtenci\u00f3n de espectros de frecuencias libres de errores por muestreo asincr\u00f3nico. como los fen\u00f3menos de flujos bif\u00e1sicos est\u00e1n estrechamente vinculados a las unidades de ciclos frigor\u00edficos,
