El tratamiento con anticuerpos anti-integrina alfa4 inhibe el desarrollo de inflamacion en las ratas injectadas con cloruro de mercurio. Ademas se aprecia una considerable reduccion de la proteinuria, asi como de los niveles de anticuerpos antimembrana basal glomerular, sin verse afectados otros autoanticuerpos. Del mismo modo, el tratamiento con anticuerpos anti-infalfa reduce los niveles de proteinuria y bloquea la infiltracion de celulas desde la circulacion al ri\u00f1on. Sin embargo, no se ve afectada la sintesis de anticuerpos. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la implicacion directa de la integrina alfa4 tanto en la induccion de la enfermedad como en su desarrollo. Por otro lado, la citoquina tnf tieneun papel exclusivamente local, a nivel renal. No obstante, ambos acs pueden se considerados como futturas terapias inmunosupresoras para el tratamiento de aquellas enfermedades autoinmunes, que como el modelo de cloruro de mercurio, afectan al
