Esta enfermedad se caracteriza, entre otros s\u00edntomas, por una serie de alteraciones en el sistema motor como temblores, debilidad muscular, inestabilidad postural y bradicinesia. Estos transtornos del movimiento son consecuencia de una p\u00e9rdida progresiva de las neuronas dopamin\u00e9rgicas de la sustantia nigra pars compacta. el gen parkin se ha identificado como el responsable de una forma autos\u00f3mica recesiva juvenil de la enfermedad de parkinson. Dado que la prote\u00edna que codifica funciona como un enzima ej proteina-ubiquitina ligasa en el sistema proteasomal de degradaci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas, uno de los mecanismos de patog\u00e9nesis propuestos para esta enfermedad es la acumulaci\u00f3n t\u00f3xica de los sustratos de parkin. Diversos trabajos anteriores avalan la utilizaci\u00f3n de drosophila como modelo para el estudio de esta enfermedad. En este trabajo hemos generado un modelo que nos ha permitido analizar el efecto de la acumulaci\u00f3n de un potencial sustrato de parkin en la mosca. Nuestros resultados sugieren que septin 4 es un sustrato de parkin y los an\u00e1lisis de la acumulaci\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edna muestran que es t\u00f3xica para las neuronas dopaminergicas y otros tejidos de drosophila.
