El esquema sintetico empleado se basa en el uso de reacciones diels-alder entre 1-aza-dienos y naftoquinonas, quinolinadionas y carbostirilquinonas para obtener sistemas triciclicos de aza- y diazaantraquinonas que posteriormente se funcionalizan en posicion alfa de piridina a 2-oxo derivados. Este objetivo se ha conseguido en dos pasos mediante n-oxidacion del anillo de piridina y trasposicion a 2-piridona. Se ha realizado el estudio estructural de estos compuestos mediante tecnicas espectroscopicas y ensayos electroquimicos y de actividad antitumoral.
