Es la primera vez que en m\u00e9dula espinal de mam\u00edferos se describen cuerpos celulares inmunorreactivos con neuroquinina a y se ha demostrado, tambi\u00e9n por vez primera, la presencia de la hormona adrenocorticotropa (18-39) en la misma. Los procesos inmunorreactivos con neuroquinina a, sustancia p y metionina-encefalina-arg6-gly7-leu8 presentan una densa y amplia distribuci\u00f3n por la m\u00e9dula espinal de gato, mientras que los procesos inmunorreactivos con neuroquinina b, hormona adrenocorticotropa (18-39) y dinorfina a (1-17)  son muy escasos y presentan una distribuci\u00f3n muy reducida en la m\u00e9dula espinal del felino. La presencia, en las l\u00e1minas i y ii, de procesos inmunorreactivos con los seis neurop\u00e9ptidos investigados indican que en dichas l\u00e1minas del asta dorsal existe una importante actividad peptid\u00e9rgica; como ocurre, en menor medida, en otras zonas, como son la l\u00e1mina x, la formaci\u00f3n reticular de la l\u00e1mina v y el n\u00facleo intermediolateral, mientras que la l\u00e1mina iii y especialmente la iv est\u00e1n pr\u00e1cticamente desprovistas de procesos inmunorreactivos.   en base a los datos morfol\u00f3gicos obtenidos, se propone que los procesos inmunorreactivos con  sustancia p proceden de las neuronas localizadas en los ganglios de las ra\u00edces dorsales y aquellos con   neuroquinina b del rafe \u00abmagnus\u00bb, en tanto que el  resto de los procesos peptid\u00e9rgicos observados se originar\u00edan a partir de neuronas intr\u00ednsecas. Se propone que la sustancia p y la neuroquinina a intervienen en la transmisi\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n nociceptiva, mientras que los restantes neurop\u00e9ptidos investigados posiblemente intervengan en el control de dicha transmisi\u00f3n.  se ha hecho, adem\u00e1s,  una revisi\u00f3n bibliogr\u00e1fica de los trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n sobre p\u00e9ptidos en  m\u00e9dula espinal
