Adem\u00e1s, es un pat\u00f3geno oportunista emergente en humanos. El presente estudio se centr\u00f3 en el estudio de nuevos componentes y mecanismos de la ruta map quinasa fmk1 que regula la patog\u00e9nesis en f. Oxysporum. El trabajo analiza la contribuci\u00f3n y la interacci\u00f3n de la ruta fmk1 con la ruta regulada por camp durante la infecci\u00f3n de mam\u00edferos. Adem\u00e1s, se describe el papel de una prote\u00edna de la familia pr-1, de funci\u00f3n desconocida y regulada por la ruta fmk1, durante la infecci\u00f3n de f. Oxysporum sobre plantas y mam\u00edferos. Estudios bioqu\u00edmicos de la prote\u00edna pr-1 de f. Oxysporum expresada en p. Pastoris revel\u00f3 una actividad proteasa. Un estudio filogen\u00e9tico de la familia de prote\u00ednas pr-1 de f. Oxysporum revel\u00f3 que esta familia ha sufrido una amplificaci\u00f3n reciente, al igual que otras especies pat\u00f3genas del g\u00e9nero fusarium.  se determin\u00f3 el papel de la fusi\u00f3n vegetativa de hifas (vhf) en el proceso de patog\u00e9nesis de f. Oxysporum en plantas. Se vi\u00f3 que tanto los mutantes dmfk1, como los mutantes dfsop1, afectados en un gen que codifica una prote\u00edna con dominio ww, estaban afectados en vhf. Sin embargo, s\u00f3lo los mutantes dfmk1 presentaban defectos en funciones relacionadas con la virulencia. Esto indica que la fusi\u00f3n vegetativa de hifas no es esencial para la infecci\u00f3n de f. Oxysporum en plantas. Finalmente, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio prote\u00f3mico de la pared celular de f. Oxysporum utilizando varios abordajes. (I) se estudiaron las prote\u00ednas de pared reguladas por la ruta fmk1, posiblemente implicadas en adhesi\u00f3n; (ii) se analizaron las prote\u00ednas de pared y de superficie, tranto con tripsina paredes celulares y c\u00e9lulas intactas, respectivamente; (iii) se analizaron las prote\u00ednas fusarium durante la interacci\u00f3n con la planta. Todos los resultados aportan informaci\u00f3n novedosa sobre funciones y componentes de la ruta fmk1, implicados en la patog\u00e9nesis de f.
