Tras analisis genomico integral, que incluyo snp-array, qrtpcr, estudio mutacional y activaci\u00f3n proteica, hemos encontrado que cerca de un 50% de los pacientes con c\u00e1ncer hep\u00e1tico tienen activaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda de mtor. El bloqueo selectivo de dicha v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n empleando dos f\u00e1rmacos (aee788 y rad001) tiene un marcado efecto antineopl\u00e1sico en modelos experimentales de c\u00e1ncer hep\u00e1tico. En l\u00edneas celulares de carcinoma hepatocelular demostramos disminuci\u00f3n de la viabilidad y proliferaci\u00f3n asociado a un incremento significativo de la apoptosis. De forma similar, en un modelo animal de xenoinjerto ect\u00f3pico de celulas tumorales, apreciamos una disminuci\u00f3n significativa del tama\u00f1o tumoral asociado a un incremento de la
