En primer lugar pretende analizar el lugar que ocupan las relaciones entre educaci\u00f3n y pobreza en la agenda global de desarrollo y sus repercusiones sobre el dise\u00f1o de pol\u00edticas educativas nacionales. Para ello, el trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n estudia por qu\u00e9 y c\u00f3mo se ha priorizado la inversi\u00f3n educativa en la lucha contra la pobreza, qu\u00e9 papel han jugado los organismos internacionales en la definici\u00f3n de dicha agenda y qu\u00e9 mecanismos han utilizado para difundir sus recomendaciones y propuestas a escala global. Simult\u00e1neamente explora la concreci\u00f3n de esta agenda en las pol\u00edticas educativas aplicadas en los pa\u00edses del sur y, espec\u00edficamente, en la regi\u00f3n latinoamericana -una de las regiones del globo m\u00e1s afectadas por las recomendaciones de la agenda educativa global de lucha contra la pobreza. En segundo lugar pretende analizar los principales l\u00edmites y omisiones de la relaci\u00f3n entre educaci\u00f3n y pobreza establecida por la agenda global y por las pol\u00edticas que de ella se derivan. El objetivo del an\u00e1lisis es explorar los l\u00edmites de una agenda y de unas pol\u00edticas que ubican toda la responsabilidad de la lucha contra la pobreza en la inversi\u00f3n educativa y, en particular, en el aprovechamiento individual que se haga de dicha inversi\u00f3n. El an\u00e1lisis se basa en una metodolog\u00eda cualitativa y en el uso de la entrevista como t\u00e9cnica principal de investigaci\u00f3n. En concreto se han realizado m\u00e1s de 80 entrevistas a ni\u00f1os, adolescentes, familias y profesores que viven y trabajan en contextos de extrema pobreza.
