El principal resultado es que los puntos de la seccion recta de dichos laseres presenta una dinamica temporal caotica y una falta de correlacion espacial muy notable. Se ha estudiado la influencia de los parametros de control del laser en la dinamica. Se describen asimismo dos modelos teoricos que reproducen algunas de las caracteristicas observadas. En uno de ellos se estudian soluciones en forma de ondas planas no lineales de las ecuaciones de maxwell-bloch, y el otro considera la interaccion de dos estructuras autooscilantes. Se ha investigado la relacion entre las rutas al caos del campo y la energia en el primer modelo.  el segundo modelo permite entender, al menos parcialmente, la invariancia de los espectros de las
