Empleando hamiltonianos de tipo de electron fuertemente ligado se calculan las estructuras electronicas de superficies, intercaras, peliculas y superredes; principalmente de cu y co fcc. Se estudian los estados de pozo en peliculas y minibandas en superredes y su evolucion con los espesores. Se calculan y describen las superficies de fermi de superredes co\/cu en su configuracion ferro y antiferromagnetica, las cuales permiten explicar de manera natural la magnetorresistencia negativa gigante. Para ciertos espesores del material magnetico la dimension de la superficie de fermi pasa de bi a cuasitridimensional, formando lo que llamamos playas de fermi. Se calcula el acoplamiento magnetico de tipo indirecto en pozos y tricapas finitas, encontrandose una dependencia del signo y de la magnitud con los espesores tanto del material magnetico como del no
