A cada paciente seleccionado, se les realiz\u00f3 las restauraciones provisionales con las resinas sint\u00e9ticas bis acril y poliviniletilmetacrilato. Se identific\u00f3 el valor de rugosidad de la superficie de las restauraciones (ra) y el recuento de la poblaci\u00f3n microbiana en la saliva y en las restauraciones provisionales a los 7 y 14 d\u00edas de su colocaci\u00f3n en la cavidad bucal. Los resultados, establecen diferente rugosidad (ra) para ambas resinas y comparativamente en las restauraciones provisionales de poliviniletilmetacrilato la rugosidad fue m\u00e1s alta en comparaci\u00f3n a bis acril. La adherencia de aer\u00f3bicos mes\u00f3filos, enterococcus sp., Streptococcus mitis, mohos y levaduras fue mas elevada para poliviniletilmetacrilato; mientras que enterobacterias presentaron
