Isabel <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La estirpe rc26 del genero azotobacter, ha sido aislada del suelo por su capacidad para utilizar acido monocloroacetico como sustrato de crecimiento. A partir de los extractos celulares, purificamos y caracterizamos una haloacido deshalogenasa activa sobre los acidos monocloroacetico y 2-monocloropropionico. La enzima es especifica para la forma l del acido 2-monocloropropionico dando como resultado de la reacion un producto con la configuracion invertida. Hemos estudiado la posibilidad de desarrollar un sistema basado en la inmovilizacion de la enzima en una matriz solida para utilizarlo en procesos de eliminacion de productos toxicos y en la obtencion de moleculas opticamente activas, como d y l-lactato y d-monocloropropionico. La enzima purificada fue inmovilizada sobre deae-sephacel resultando ser mas estable que la enzima soluble. El comportamiento del complejo deshalogenasa\/deae- sephacel en un reactor de flujo continuo, muestra que la enzima es activa incluso cuando fluye a su traves concentraciones de sustrato que dan lugar a la inhibicion de la enzima soluble.
