Ha sido constantemente redefinido ante sus circunstancias hist\u00f3ricas y sociales. Parece haber sobrevivido a los diversos anuncios de su desaparecimiento, anunciados tanto por la v\u00eda de la alienaci\u00f3n intelectual (comte) y antropol\u00f3gica (feuerbach), como ps\u00edquica (freud) y socioecon\u00f3mica (marx). A\u00fan, es innegable que la modernizaci\u00f3n, con su consecuente individualizaci\u00f3n social, ha dejado y contin\u00faa dejando marcas de una progresiva secularizaci\u00f3n de la sociedad. Tal hecho conduce a un progresivo desgaste de los referentes procedentes de las costumbres y tradiciones de la religi\u00f3n institucional, arrastrando las instituciones religiosas no s\u00f3lo hacia una p\u00e9rdida de la influencia de la institucionalidad, sino a una vivencia de lo religioso m\u00e1s privado e \u00edntimo. esta transformaci\u00f3n, reconfiguraci\u00f3n o incluso descomposici\u00f3n de lo religioso en la modernidad revela que este fen\u00f3meno est\u00e1 en constante proceso de cambio, adapt\u00e1ndose y asumiendo los contextos socio-culturales en que se inserta. Es desde nuestro hoy, desde el diagn\u00f3stico actual y de la sociedad que nos envuelve que miramos hacia atr\u00e1s y hacia delante, intentando auscultar la situaci\u00f3n religiosa en portugal, de forma a, por un lado, caracterizar la religiosidad de los portugueses y percibir hasta qu\u00e9 punto \u00e9sta se identifica con la de otros pa\u00edses de europa (austria, b\u00e9lgica, espa\u00f1a, francia, irlanda, italia, polonia); por otro lado, se intenta precisar las nuevas formas o tendencias de lo religioso en portugal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
