Conocimientos considerados como imprescindibles para superar los problemas y dificultades que afectan los procesos de ense\u00f1anza y aprendizaje de la historia. La investigaci\u00f3n describe y analiza en profundidad la ense\u00f1anza de esta disciplina escolar en la educaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica venezolana, desde la visi\u00f3n del profesorado responsable de dictarla, ayudando a comprender desde la did\u00e1ctica de la historia los complejos procesos de su ense\u00f1anza. Este estudio fue realizado en el contexto de las transformaciones sociales, pol\u00edticas, culturales y econ\u00f3micas que se est\u00e1n produciendo en la rep\u00fablica bolivariana de venezuela, los cuales afectan a la educaci\u00f3n en t\u00e9rminos generales, a la vez que exige en lo particular, de una nueva manera de entender y ense\u00f1ar la historia. En ese sentido, esta tesis doctoral pretende incorporarse al debate sobre la importacia que tiene la ense\u00f1anza de la historia, desde los conocimientos y pensamientos que los profesores de historia manifiestan poseer y los que realmente utilizan en la pr\u00e1ctica de la ense\u00f1anza de esta disciplina; relativos al conocimiento hist\u00f3rico, los m\u00e9todos de ense\u00f1anza y los fines de la historia escolar. palabras clave.
