El patr\u00f3n estereoqu\u00edmico de estos productos es caracter\u00edstico de la familia bot\u00e1nica de la que se aislan. En el presente trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n se aportan evidencias que prueban que dichas diferencias son debidas a la flexibilidad conformacional de los distintos precursores con esqueleto de germacrano de los que proceden estos metabolitos. Partiendo del costunolido, una germacranolida comercialmente disponible con una estereoqu\u00edmica t\u00edpica de compuestas, se ha llevado a cabo la s\u00edntesis de derivados 6-beta-hidroxigermacradienos y de 6- epicostunolido. La ciclaci\u00f3n en condiciones \u00e1cidas de estos productos ha dado lugar a eudesmanos con estereoqu\u00edmica de umbel\u00edferas, lo que ha puesto en evidencia el cambio conformacional que experimenta el esqueleto de germacradieno con la introducci\u00f3n tanto de un grupo hidroxilo con orientaci\u00f3n beta en el carbono c-6, como de un grupo cis-lactona. Con los datos obtenidos, se ha llevado a cabo la s\u00edntesis biomim\u00e9tica, tanto de 1-hidroxieudesmanolidas, como de guayanolidas con la estereoqu\u00edmica caracter\u00edstica de los
