Se parte de una hip\u00f3tesis de trabajo en la que se establece la importancia fundamental de la actividad del transporte en la organizaci\u00f3n social, econ\u00f3mica y territorial de un espacio y, por tanto, de una regi\u00f3n, adquiriendo una relevancia notable en el proceso de cohesi\u00f3n de europa. con esta base se articula una propuesta metodol\u00f3gica asentada en la teor\u00eda general de los sistemas. Seestablecen an\u00e1lisis individualizados para cada elemento integrante de los sistemas protagonistas de la tesis doctoral: el territorio (castilla-la mancha) y el transporte terrestre presente en este espacio, la carretera y el ferrocarril. Las caracter\u00edsticas demogr\u00e1ficas, evoluci\u00f3n, su distribuci\u00f3n, el patr\u00f3n de las relaciones funcionales y la poblaci\u00f3n vinculada son los aspectos analizados referentes al territorio. Los concpetos de conectividad, accesibilidad y movilidad se apliican al an\u00e1lisi de las redes de carreteras y ferrocarril para integrar los resultados posteriormente dentro de una metodolog\u00eda multicriterio. los principales resultados del an\u00e1lisis dejan como princiales reflexiones la configuraci\u00f3n de un sistema de transporte muy influenciado por la presencia de Madrid y asociado a los procesos de la capital espa\u00f1ola, donde apreciamos diversas situaciones: un \u00e1mabito central, que concentra capapcidad de conexi\u00f3n, redes din\u00e1micas funcionales e interrrelacionales frente a espacios perif\u00e9ricos en situaci\u00f3n de dispersi\u00f3n, coon bajos niveles de dotaci\u00f3n y din\u00e1micas estabilizadas o
