El observatorio sur, pr\u00f3ximo al final de su construcci\u00f3n, ha comenzado ya a arrojar resultados cient\u00edficos importantes. En esta tesis se presenta una introducci\u00f3n a las principales caracter\u00edsticas de los rayos c\u00f3smicos y se describe a grandes rasgos el dise\u00f1o b\u00e1sico del observatorio pierre auger. Despu\u00e9s de una breve descripci\u00f3n del proceso de reconstrucci\u00f3n de eventos se expone el trabajo central de la tesis. En primer lugar se detalla c\u00f3mo se ha realizado la verificaci\u00f3n de la calibraci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica de los telescopios de fluorescencia usando sistemas que cuentan con un l\u00e1ser uv. Adem\u00e1s se describen otras utilidades de estos sistemas l\u00e1ser como su aplicaci\u00f3n en la medida de la concentraci\u00f3n de aerosoles en la atm\u00f3sfera. En el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo se describe el proceso desarrollado para la obtenci\u00f3n del espectro de energ\u00eda de rayos c\u00f3smicos a partir de los datos tomados en el observatorio,
