En este sentido, se han elegido para su estudio 4 especies liquenicas, bacidia stipata, buellia cladocaroiza, catillaria corymbosa y lecania brialmontii, por representar todas ellas un mecanismo de adaptacion convergente reflejado en su biotipo nanofruticuloso.  los trabajos abordados incluyen estudio estructural comparativo, de relaciones hidricas bajo condiciones controladas y bajo condiciones
