La paradoxograf\u00eda co nstituye el primer ejemplo conocido de literatura destinada a lo que en la actualidad se denomina \u00c2\u00bfdivulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica\u00c2\u00bf. La tesis atiende a las caracter\u00edsticas que definen esta clase de literatura, al destinatario que pod\u00eda consumir las obras de e ste tipo (posiblemente en relaci\u00f3n con la costumbre simposial), a los antecedentes que pudieron contribuir a su aparici\u00f3n, en especial la literatura hist\u00f3rica precedente (se distingue entre antecedentes que contribuyeron a la aparici\u00f3n de la paradoxo graf\u00eda, y las fuentes concretas empleadas por los paradox\u00f3grafos), a su relaci\u00f3n con la ciencia desarrollada por la escuela de arist\u00f3teles, y en concreto con la labor de teofrasto y el tratamiento que \u00e9ste hace de sus contenidos,  y, por \u00faltimo, a la  recepci\u00f3n de los materiales de esta clase tanto en la cultura romana como en fases posteriores de la historia cultural griega, destacando el caso de posidonio de apamea, que concede un tratamiento cient\u00edfico del m\u00e1ximo rigor a las noticias que le ll egan desde esta v\u00eda, a fin de verificarlas en persona y ofrecer explicaciones l\u00f3gicas al respecto. study about greek paradoxographic literature, born at the beginning of the hellenistic period, that consists in the collection of lists of curiosities of nature, from the reading of scientiphic and historical works. Paradoxography means the first known example of \u00c2\u00bfpopular science\u00c2\u00bf. This thesis pays attention to the characteristical features that define this kind of literature, to the profile of the  public that could demand it (possibly connected to the symposial custom), to the precedents of paradoxography, that could help to its rising, specialy the first historical literature (it is made the distinction between precedents of paradoxography, and concrete sources used by paradoxographers), to its connection with the science developed by aristotle\u00c2\u00bfs school, particularly theophrast and his treatment towards his materials, and lastly, to the way as paradoxographic materials were recieved by the roman culture and by later phases of the cultural greek history, highlighting the case of posidonius of apamea, who deals with the highest scientiphic
