Tambi\u00e9n, analiza cuantitativamente las relaciones entre la variabilidad espacial observada con la estructura f\u00edsica del h\u00e1bitat y temperatura, as\u00ed como con ciertos atributos biol\u00f3gicos y ecol\u00f3gicos de las especies estudiadas. La variabilidad espacial del poblamiento a escala fina estuvo relacionada con las variaciones en la estructura f\u00edsica del h\u00e1bitat. Los efectos de la complejidad y heterogeneidad del h\u00e1bitat parecen ser espec\u00edficos, aunque dichas relaciones podr\u00edan determinarse a nivel de clase taxon\u00f3mica. Las especies con determinadas caracter\u00edsticas biol\u00f3gicas y ecol\u00f3gicas mostraron relaciones espec\u00edficas con los distintos descriptores del h\u00e1bitat analizados. La variabilidad espacial del poblamiento tambi\u00e9n se manifest\u00f3 entre los rangos de profundidad muestreados y mostr\u00f3 relaciones significativas con el poblamiento y ciertas modalidades de atributos biol\u00f3gicos y ecol\u00f3gicos. La variabilidad encontrada a escala gruesa parece estar relacionada con las temperaturas medias y m\u00ednimas.   this study examines the species composition, distribution and abundance of the echinoderm assemblage of the cape verde archipelago at three spatial scales and at two depth strata. It also analises the relationship between their spatial variability and variation of habitat structure, temperature, and certain biological and ecological atributes of the species. The assemblage exhibited spatial variability at all considered scales. There were significant realtionships between habitat architecture and depth and both assemblage parameters and species abundances at fine spatial scale. The effects of habitat structure were species-specific, although these associationss could be also determined at taxonomic class level. The observed spatial patterns are inferred to reflect behavioural responses to fine-scale microhabitat complexity and heterogeneity, as well as broad-scale oceanic variables such as anual medium and minimum temperatures.     palabras clave: equinodermos, cabo verde, variabilidad espacial, escala, h\u00e1bitat, rlq echinodermos, cape verde archipelago, spatial pattern, scale, habitat, rlq    la riqueza espec\u00edfica de equinodermos fue mayor (97 especies) que en otros archipi\u00e9lagos macaron\u00e9sicos. El gradiente creciente hacia el se del archipi\u00e9lago parece estar relacionado con la mayor heterogeneidad clim\u00e1tica de dichas islas.  el poblamiento present\u00f3 variabilidad espacial a todas las escalas consideradas. en t\u00e9rminos generales, h\u00e1bitats heterog\u00e9neos favorecieron la coexistencia de especies con distintos requerimientos ecol\u00f3gicos, mientras que h\u00e1bitats estructuralmente complejos promovieron la riqueza de especies. sin embargo, al ser un factor complejo \u00edntimamente relacionado con muchas variables f\u00eds\u00edcas y biol\u00f3gicas, es dif\u00edcil ahondar en los resultados encontrados sin aproximaciones metodol\u00f3gicas adecuadas. de esta forma, la variabilidad espacial observada a esta escala puede estar significativamente determinada por el comportamiento de las especies a los distintos tipos de h\u00e1bitat.  un mayor n\u00famero de especies as\u00ed como la mayor parte de los descriptores del h\u00e1bitat mostraron principalmente variabilidad espacial a escala fina.  tanto de descriptores de heterogeneidad como de complejidad    los resultados encontrados han permitido establecer que posibles fen\u00f3menos de competencia interespec\u00edfica podr\u00edan estar influyendo en la variabilidad espacial de algunas especies tanto a escala fina como a escala
