Esta organizaci\u00f3n metam\u00e9ricas confiere una organizaci\u00f3n inicial as\u00ed como una identidad espec\u00edfica a todas las estructuras derivadas del rombenc\u00e9falo. Cada uno de los romb\u00f3meros tiene una identidad molecular espec\u00edfica conferida por una combinaci\u00f3n diferente de factores de transcripci\u00f3n. El proceso por el cual los romb\u00f3meros adquieren una identidad molecular es un evento din\u00e1mico i gradual de especificaci\u00f3n que empieza en estadios muy tempranos del desarrollo embrionario. En la presente tesis se ha analizado la funci\u00f3n de uno de los genes que est\u00e1n m\u00e1s tempranamente expresados en el rombenc\u00e9falo, el factor de transcripci\u00f3n vhnf1. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que vhnf1 juega un papel crucial en los primeros pasos de la especificaci\u00f3n de los territorios caudales del rombenc\u00e9falo. As\u00ed mismo estos resultados demuestran que, en parte, las funciones de vhnf1 en la especificaci\u00f3n del rombenc\u00e9falo son mediadas a trav\u00e9s de la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n fgf, concretamente a trav\u00e9s de la mol\u00e9cula fgf3. Finalmente, en la presente tesis se analizan la v\u00edas intracelulares que median la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n fgf en el rombenc\u00e9falo y se llega a la conclusi\u00f3n que de que la v\u00eda que media las funciones de la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n fgf en la especificaci\u00f3n del rombenc\u00e9falo es aquella conocida como ras-erk1\/2 mapk.  Todos estos datos aportan nuevos datos y ayudan a completar la compleja red que gobierna el proceso de adquisici\u00f3n de identidad molecular por parte de los territorios rombom\u00e9ricos, un
