Por ello, la caracterizaci\u00f3n rigurosa y eficiente de la excitaci\u00f3n coaxial de dispositivos implementados en tecnolog\u00eda guiada es un tema de investigaci\u00f3n muy importante que ha sido tratado ampliamente en la literatura t\u00e9cnica. Sin embargo, el n\u00famero de contribuciones que se dedican a investigar este tema desde un punto de vista multimodal es realmente reducido.  el objetivo fundamental de este trabajo consiste en la caracterizaci\u00f3n multimodal eficiente de la excitaci\u00f3n coaxial de dispositivos implementados en gu\u00eda rectangular utilizando el m\u00e9todo bi-rme (boundary integral &#8211; resonant mode expansion) 3d. En concreto, en este trabajo se caracterizan dos tipos de configuraciones ampliamente utilizadas en la pr\u00e1ctica: la excitaci\u00f3n coaxial cl\u00e1sica, y la excitaci\u00f3n coaxial en configuraci\u00f3n colineal. Este \u00faltimo tipo de excitaci\u00f3n se emplea com\u00fanmente en los denominados filtros en configuraci\u00f3n comb-line, los cuales tambi\u00e9n son objeto de investigaci\u00f3n en el presente trabajo. En particular, se ha desarrollado una herramienta de an\u00e1lisis y dise\u00f1o muy eficiente desde un punto de vista computacional que permite caracterizar de forma precisa este tipo de filtros.  otro de los objetivos del presente trabajo es el an\u00e1lisis y el dise\u00f1o de uniones en gu\u00eda rectangular compensadas con postes conductores de geometr\u00eda cil\u00edndrica utilizando la t\u00e9cnica bi-rme 3d. Las uniones dise\u00f1adas (codos rectos, uniones en t, uniones t m\u00e1gica y uniones turnstile) presentan una respuesta el\u00e9ctrica \u00f3ptima y, adem\u00e1s, el trabajo desarrollado demuestra que la posici\u00f3n relativa del poste en la estructura es un par\u00e1metro de dise\u00f1o muy importante que no se hab\u00eda considerado previamente en la literatura t\u00e9cnica dedicada a este
