En particular tareas de b\u00fasqueda de informaci\u00f3n y di\u00e1logo por mensajer\u00eda instant\u00e1nea. La investigaci\u00f3n congrega tres etapas, una cuantitativa que busca recabar datos de usos regulares de tecnolog\u00edas por parte de los estudiantes secundarios de cuatro colegios de chile; la segunda, que da cuenta del trabajo experimental en el que los estudiantes estiman el tiempo transcurrido en actividades de b\u00fasqueda de informaci\u00f3n y di\u00e1logo mediado por tecnolog\u00edas y, finalmente, un estudio cualitativo que recaba las percepciones de los participantes a partir de grupos focales.  los resultados principales dan cuenta de una diferencia significativa en la estimaci\u00f3n del tiempo en el desarrollo de tareas de di\u00e1logo por mensajer\u00eda instant\u00e1nea que se perciben m\u00e1s breves que las actividades de b\u00fasqueda de informaci\u00f3n.
