Durante el trabajo se ha identificado que una prote\u00edna de superficie de esta bacteria, prote\u00edna a, que es conocida por su capacidad para unir la regi\u00f3n fe y fab de las inmunoglobulinas (igs) y el factor von willebrand (vwf), interviene en la formaci\u00f3n del biofilm y en las interacciones c\u00e9lula-c\u00e9lula en s. Aureus. Esta prote\u00edna pertenece a la familia de prote\u00ednas lpxtg, prote\u00ednas que se encuentran ancladas covalentemente al peptidoglicano de s. Aureus y que juegan un papel muy importante en la virulencia de esta bacteria. Estos resultados apoyan la teor\u00eda de que algunas de las prote\u00ednas de superficie que hasta ahora han sido mayoritariamente implicadas en la uni\u00f3n a prote\u00ednas de la matriz extracelular, pueden tambi\u00e9n actuar como adhesinas dentro del biofilm influyendo en la interacci\u00f3n de la bacteria con la c\u00e9lula hu\u00e9sped. \tel segundo cap\u00edtulo est\u00e1 dedicado a la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las prote\u00ednas con dominio ggdef en la biolog\u00eda de s. Aureus. Las prote\u00ednas con dominios ggdef y eal\/hy-gyp sintetizan y degradan respectivamente un nuevo mensajero secundario de bacterias que se denomina c-di-gmp. Nuestros resultados han demostrado que estas prote\u00ednas juegan un papel crucial en la biolog\u00eda de s. Aureus tanto en la formaci\u00f3n del biofilm como en la virulencia o en la resistencia a antibi\u00f3ticos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
