(Ii) caracterizacion del centro activo de la enzima. (Iii) purificacion y caracterizacion molecular de la enzima, y (iv) localizacion intramitocondrial de la misma. Las conclusiones mas relevantes podrian resumirse en: (i) se ha correlacionado positivamente la velocidad de proliferacion a lo largo del desarrollo tumoral con la actividad glutaminasa; se aportan evidencias de que las variaciones en actividad detectadas pueden ser el resultado tanto de una regulacion a largo plazo como a corto plazo. (Ii) se sugiere la existencia, en la proteina, de residuos cisteina e histidina esenciales para su actividad.  igualmente, los resultados presentados parecen indicar una localizacion de dichos residuos en el centro activo de la enzima. (Iii) se proponen dos protocolos de purificacion y se discute las ventajas de los mismos sobre los protocolos precedentes.
