Estos compuestos neutros e i\u00f3nicos son capaces de promover eficientemente procesos catal\u00edticos de isomerizaci\u00f3n de alcoholes al\u00edlicos en los correspondientes productos carbon\u00edlicos, respectivamente, en medio org\u00e1nico y en agua. Adem\u00e1s los catalizadores i\u00f3nicos, hidrosolubles, presentan una capacidad de reciclaje extremadamente elevada. el cap\u00edtulo 2 se centra en la puesta a punto de un sistema catal\u00edtico capaz de efectuar isomerizaciones de alcoholes al\u00edlicos en condiciones suaves de temperatura bas\u00e1ndose en la utilizaci\u00f3n de derivados organomet\u00e1licos de tipo [rucl2(h6-1-ipr-4-c6h4me)(l)] (l = ligando p-dador). Las caracter\u00edsticas est\u00e9ricas y sobre todo electr\u00f3nicas de los ligandos l afectan notablemente a la actividad catal\u00edtica del complejo resultante. En las condiciones \u00f3ptimas, los resultados obtenidos en la transformaci\u00f3n de alcoholes mono-, di- y trisustituidos son unos de los mejores descritos hasta la fecha. en el tercer cap\u00edtulo se describe el primer ejemplo de isomerizaci\u00f3n de alcoholes al\u00edlicos tetrasustituidos en la olefina. El trabajo presentado abarca la s\u00edntesis multi-etapas de los sustratos as\u00ed como la optimizaci\u00f3n del sistema catal\u00edtico. En este contexto, hemos demostrado que el complejo [rucl2(h6-1,3,5-c6h3me3)(p(ome)3)] es el catalizador m\u00e1s activo para promover la isomerizaci\u00f3n de sustratos altamente impedidos. en el cap\u00edtulo 4 se aborda la preparaci\u00f3n de nuevos complejos areno-rutenio(ii) quirales que contienen en su estructura ligandos fosfonito, fosfito o fosforamidito derivados del binaftol. Los complejos enantiopuros han mostrado ser activos en procesos de resoluci\u00f3n cin\u00e9tica de alcoholes al\u00edlicos, aunque los excesos enantiom\u00e9ricos alcanzados son relativamente
