El cuerpo central del trabajo, en el que se han analizado a 37 autores, que representan un total de 70 libros o partes de m\u00e9todos, consiste en examinar pormenorizadamente los contenidos pedag\u00f3gicos de ellos, la idoneidad de su planteamiento y su efectividad pr\u00e1ctica, compar\u00e1ndolos con los escasos programas de la asignatura existentes en la \u00e9poca, para, a trav\u00e9s de esta metodolog\u00eda comparativa, distinguir si los contenidos respond\u00edan a un plan preexistente o a iniciativas personales; y tambi\u00e9n contrastarlos con los modernos principios pedag\u00f3gicos con el objeto de indagar su grado de vigencia en nuestro tiempo.      le sigue a este grueso de la tesis un estudio comparativo de todos los m\u00e9todos en cuanto a sus contenidos, para al fin llegar a una conclusi\u00f3n sobre los distintos textos de ense\u00f1anza del solfeo en la \u00e9poca estudiada. se completa el trabajo con dos ap\u00e9ndices; uno en el que se hace referencia a las lecciones de solfeo a 2 y 3 voces de salvador giner, descubiertas, recopiladas, arregladas y editadas por el autor de esta tesis, que aunque no constituyen un m\u00e9todo, s\u00ed son lecciones solf\u00edsticas de ese per\u00edodo. \u00e9stas se analizan deslindadamente en todos sus aspectos r\u00edtmicos, mel\u00f3dicos, mot\u00edvicos, arm\u00f3nicos y formales, llegando as\u00ed mismo a comparaciones y deducciones.
