Debido a ello, durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os han surgido iniciativas en las que se plantea su utilizaci\u00f3n, entre las cuales destacan: la fuente europea de espalaci\u00f3n (ess), la fuente japonesa de espalaci\u00f3n (jsns) o los reactores subcr\u00edticos guiados por acelerador (ads). Dado su inter\u00e9s, es necesario disponer unas bases de dise\u00f1o sobre las cuales cimentar el an\u00e1lisis de ingenier\u00eda de este tipo de instalaciones o componentes. En este sentido los trabajos realizados hasta la fecha, buscan obtener soluciones particulares a un dise\u00f1o concreto, pero no se ha desarrollado una metodolog\u00eda definida que permita orientar un dise\u00f1o integral. En el dise\u00f1o integral de una fuente de espalaci\u00f3n, es necesario tener en cuenta, todos los procesos f\u00edsicos relevantes que pueden condicionar su comportamiento. Han de considerarse aspectos neutr\u00f3nicos (neutrones emitidos, espectro de los mismos, rendimiento de generaci\u00f3n&#8230;), Termomec\u00e1nicos (deposici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica, condiciones de refrigeraci\u00f3n, distribuci\u00f3n de tensiones&#8230;), Radiol\u00f3gicos (actividad de los residuos de espalaci\u00f3n, reacciones de activaci\u00f3n y calor residual) y finalmente la alteraci\u00f3n de las propiedades de los materiales con la irradiaci\u00f3n (desplazamientos at\u00f3micos y generaci\u00f3n de gases). el objetivo principal de esta tesis, es analizar de forma sistem\u00e1tica las diferentes opciones planteadas en la literatura cient\u00edfica, y en base a ello, determinar el factor limitante de cada dise\u00f1o conceptual, su rango de aplicaci\u00f3n y los materiales id\u00f3neos para el mismo. Para ello, se han realizado una serie de simulaciones de car\u00e1cter general que abarcan todos los procesos f\u00edsicos relevantes. Finalmente, los criterios desarrollados se aplican a la problem\u00e1tica particular del dise\u00f1o de la fuente de espalaci\u00f3n de los reactores subcr\u00edticos pdx-ads y xt-ads. Estos dos dise\u00f1os, desarrollados en el proyecto europeo ip-eurotrans, representan los conceptos m\u00e1s destacados en el marco de los reactores subcr\u00edticos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
