Estos llevan a cabo de forma aut\u00f3noma y adaptativa la extracci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas de se\u00f1ales muestreadas con el fin usar dichas se\u00f1ales como puntos de referencia en la tarea de navegaci\u00f3n. La extracci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas se realiza mediante evoluci\u00f3n de sensores bioinspirados y de redes neuronales de pulsos usando algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos para encontrar los par\u00e1metros adecuados que resuelven la tarea. Los robots virtuales desarrollan un comportamiento de navegaci\u00f3n en un espacio bidimensional mediante la discriminaci\u00f3n de sonidos no estructurados, es decir, sonidos cualesquiera que no son un subconjunto reglado de sonidos:  ruido, trozos de cantos de p\u00e1jaro o de m\u00fasica de un cd, en lugar de se\u00f1ales simples. La se\u00f1al recibida por el robot var\u00eda por su movimiento y posici\u00f3n y de forma independiente por la propia din\u00e1mica de la se\u00f1al. \tla principal aportaci\u00f3n de esta tesis es utilizar el sonido no estructurado como referencia para la navegaci\u00f3n de robots bioinspirados en lugar de usar se\u00f1ales visuales, que son totalmente direccionales. Un conjunto de experimentos valida el marco te\u00f3rico y la aplicaci\u00f3n como un sistema de desarrollo de robots con una capacidad de reconocimiento de se\u00f1al adaptativa y aut\u00f3noma. El planteamiento te\u00f3rico requiere la armonizaci\u00f3n de ideas provenientes de m\u00faltiples campos, es decir, es un trabajo realizado dentro de un \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n
