En este trabajo se propone un nuevo modelo autoorganizado en el que se a\u00fanan estas caracter\u00edsticas con otras relacionadas con la generaci\u00f3n de subgrafos de la triangulaci\u00f3n de delaunay, con la posibilidad de realizar aproximaciones poligonales el\u00e1sticas y con la capacidad de reorganizar su estructura en funci\u00f3n de la distribuci\u00f3n de datos. Esto permite su aplicaci\u00f3n a problemas relacionados con el tratamiento de im\u00e1genes, en concreto a la extracci\u00f3n de estructuras lineales en figuras bidimensionales, ya sean densas o no, y a curvas unidimensionales.   la caracterizaci\u00f3n y validaci\u00f3n del modelo se realiza sobre dos dominios de aplicaci\u00f3n, como son la extracci\u00f3n de esqueletos vectoriales en textos digitalizados (manuscritos y tipogr\u00e1ficos), y en la extracci\u00f3n de minucias en huellas dactilares digitalizadas. Los resultados obtenidos certifican la validez y robustez del modelo frente a figuras o im\u00e1genes con ruido o de contornos irregulares<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
