Rem1 es una ciclina que s\u00f3lo se expresa en meiosis en la levadura de fisi\u00f3n schizosaccharomyces pombe. Celulas con rem1 deleccionado presentan una tasa de recombinaci\u00f3n intrag\u00e9nica disminuida y un retraso en el inicio de meiosis i. Cuando se expresa ect\u00f3picamente en c\u00e9lulas creciendo vegetativamente, rem1 induce un arresto en g1 seguido de cat\u00e1strofe mit\u00f3tica. Este trabajo describe que la expresi\u00f3n de rem1 est\u00e1 regulada a nivel de la trascripci\u00f3n y el procesamiento, codificando para dos prote\u00ednas con funciones diferentes dependiendo de la retenci\u00f3n intr\u00f3nica.. Hemos determinado que la regulaci\u00f3n del splicing de rem1 no depende de ninguna regi\u00f3n transcrita del gen. Adem\u00e1s, cuando el promotor se fusiona a otros genes que contienen intrones, las quimeras presentan una regulaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica de meiosis como el rem1 end\u00f3geno. Esta regulaci\u00f3n depende de dos factores de transcripci\u00f3n de la familia forkhead, mei4 y fkh2. Mientras mei4 induce la transcripci\u00f3n y el splicing de rem1, fkh2 es responsable de la retenci\u00f3n intr\u00f3nica del tr\u00e1nscrito durante crecimiento vegetativo y fase s
