Como consecuencia del tratamiento citotoxico intensivo, los pacientes sufren un profundo deterioro de los sistemas hematopoyetico e inmunologico.  esta tesis esta basada en la aplicacion de tecnicas de inmunofluorescencia y citometria de flujo al estudio del implante hematopoyetico y de la reconstitucion inmune despues del trasplante autologo de medula osea y\/o de celulas progenitoras circulantes.  se encontro que, durante el periodo post-trasplante, las lineas celulares eritroide, mieloide, monocitica, megacariocitica y linfoide t mostraron una tendencia proliferativa a corto plazo en taspe respecto a tamo. A largo plazo, la hematopoyesis tiende a ser mas sostenida post-tamo.  en cuanto a la recuperacion inmunologica, las subpoblaciones linfocitarias t y nk de sangre periferica fueron mayores en el periodo post-taspe. El patron linfocitario b fue similar para las dos modalidades estudiadas.  adicionalmente, encontramos un efecto del proceso de criopreservacion (exposicion a dmso, congelacion-descongelacion) sobre
