En la vertiente teorica se analizan las decisiones de grupo, sus preferencias, los modelos explicativos utilizados en la literatura y las decisiones de la familia como grupo de decision y consumo. En los ultimos capitulos del trabajo se realiza un estudio empirico con el que se contrastan determinadas hipotesis. Las aportaciones principales del trabajo se resumen en las siguientes conclusiones: (i) los grupos de decision en marketing estan caracterizados por una actividad de decision prolongada y dependen de variables internas individuales, variables internas sociales y variables externas. (Ii) es necesario analizar informacion procedente del grupo en su conjunto, puesto que las respuestas individuales no coinciden con la percepcion del grupo. (Iii) en decisiones sobre servicios, los hijos tienen tambien elevados niveles de participacion en las decisiones familiares, al igual que han demostrado otras investigaciones que ocurre en las
