Inicialmente se aborda el modelado, simulaci\u00f3n y optimizaci\u00f3n de los dispositivos, que est\u00e1n basados en una uni\u00f3n p\/n con un perfil de dopaje de zn gradual en el emisor. Se incluye an\u00e1lisis comparativo de los par\u00e1metros f\u00edsicos de gasb necesarios para alimentar los modelos descritos, tras lo que se determina la configuraci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima de las c\u00e9lulas (dopajes, espesores, perfiles de difusi\u00f3n, dise\u00f1o de la malla de metalizaci\u00f3n, etc.). Posteriormente se describe la rutina de fabricaci\u00f3n completa de las c\u00e9lulas, analizando detalladamente los procesos m\u00e1s novedosos, como la propia difusi\u00f3n de zn en gasb, la oxidaci\u00f3n an\u00f3dica del semiconductor (necesaria para decapar el emisor difundido) o los contactos el\u00e9ctricos. Se presentan las tandas de dispositivos y la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas fabricadas, realizando una comparaci\u00f3n de los resultados experimentales obtenidos y las predicciones te\u00f3ricas de los modelos desarrollados, con la que se validan estos  \u00faltimos. Finalmente, se describen los prototipos de sistemas termofotovoltaicos dise\u00f1ados y fabricados, la mayor parte de ellos para su aplicaci\u00f3n en el autoabastecimiento el\u00e9ctrico de
