Asi, cardiolipina hace posible una fusion proteina-dependiente con fantasmas de granulos cromafines en ausencia de calcio. La reorganizacion de los lipidos en la fusion requiere fosfatidilserina, mientras que los diacilgliceroles actuarian como lipidos desestabilizadores la conformacion interfacial asi como la perturbacion causada en el interior de la bicapa por estos diacilgliceroles determinara la fusion inducida por calcio de vesiculas de fosfatidilserina. El alfa-tocoferol podria desempe\u00f1ar un papel estabilizador en las membranas frente a la fusion, y se localizaria en las membranas de dimiristilfosfatidilserina con el grupo cromanol cercano a la interfase lipido\/agua y con la cadena fitilica paralela a las cadenas de los acidos grasos de los fosfolipidos, disminuyendo la afinidad de las membranas de fosfatidilserina por calcio. El alfa-tocoferol presenta inmiscibilidad dando lugar a la formacion de dominios enriquecidos en esta vitamina, lo que facilitara su actividad, dada su baja concentracion en la
