examin\u00f3 la capacidad de adsorci\u00f3n de seis algas diferentes (spirogyra insignis,codium vermilara, asparagopsis armata, chondrus crispus,ascophyllun nodosum y fucus spiralis)utilizando disoluciones diluidad de i\u00f3n cadmio, n\u00edquel,cinc,cobre y plomo.  se estudiaron las condiciones \u00f3ptimas de ph y concentraci\u00f3n de biomasa para cada sistema monomet\u00e1lico .Con esas condiciones , las isotermas de langmuir permitieron obtener las capacidades m\u00e1ximas de adsorci\u00f3n (qmax) de cada biomasa para cada metal ,as\u00ed como la constante de equilibrio(b) de la reacci\u00f3n que tiene lugar entre ambos,siendo fucus spiraleis la que present\u00f3 valores m\u00e1s satisfactorios.M\u00e1s tarde, se estudi\u00f3 el comportamiento que experimentaba dicha biomasa en sistemas bim\u00e9talicos y trimet\u00e1licos representando las isotermas de adsorci\u00f3n correspondientes y determinando los valores de qmax y de b para cada caso.  por otro lado, tambi\u00e9n se simul\u00f3 el proceso de bioadsorci\u00f3n utilizando dos programas inform\u00e1ticos:algas y phreeqci resultando ser herramientas muy eficaces.  los estudios se completaron con ensayos de cuatro y cinco metales simult\u00e1neamente y mezcla de biomasa observ\u00e1ndose que el programa phreeqci tambi\u00e9n era capaz de predecir el comportamiento de la biomasa en sistemas
