Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A finales del siglo xviii se aprobo en espa\u00f1a restablecer los cementerios extramuros de la ciudad. Este hecho supuso la transformacion de las costumbres de inhumacion y el nacimiento de una tipolog\u00eda arquitectonica. Esto espacios se convirtieron al calor del impulso burgues en museos de obras de arte, construidas para perpetuar la memoria del fallecido. Todas estas obras son parte del patrimonio artistico que se crea tanto en las ciudades de los vivos como de los muertos. Los estilos artisticos utilizados en estas construcciones son los mismos que en otras tipolog\u00edas contemporaneas y los profesionales igualmente desdoblan su produccion en ambos ambitos. La cornisa cantabrica cuenta con una elevada produccion de arte funerario de buena calidad, debido sobre todo a la importancia economica de la burguesia asentada en este espacio geografico, que intentan perpetuar su memoria en las denominadas moradas de la muerte.
